Icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason left Dutch side Heereveen to join La Liga’s Real Sociedad in July but travelled back to Holland recently to collect his award for finishing up as the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie last season. It didn’t go as well as he probably would’ve liked though.
While picking up his prize from previous two-time winner Ruud van Nistelrooy, Finnbogason started to look a bit uneasy on his feet, before fainting on stage. No matter how many times you practice your acceptance speech in front of your hotel room mirror, you just can’t prepare for that.
