Miguel Herrera’s Mexico cemented their place in the last 16 of the World Cup on Monday after convincingly beating Croatia 3-1 in an impressive performance. Sadly though, occurrences in the stands have been making the headlines.
It’s understood that trouble broke out after Mexico captain Rafael Marquez headed El Tri in front after 72 minutes. Violence then erupted, with several shirtless Croatia fans clashing with Mexican supporters before stewards intervened and calmed the situation down.
What a huge shame, eh?
