You remember former Spurs striker Jermain Defoe, right? His goalscoring exploits are virtually impossible to ignore. He was one of the best finishers the Premier League has seen in recent years and was adored by Spurs fans for his expertise in the art of finishing.
Despite being calm, cool and collected throughout most of his Premier League days, a move to the MLS might’ve sparked off his more aggressive side. The former Tottenham striker, now with MLS team Toronto, was enraged when his teammate Gilberto wouldn’t let him take a free-kick against the New York Red Bulls. Gilberto then scored with an absolute bullet.
Fair play to Defoe though, who reacted with a smile and quickly ran to celebrate Gilberto’s stonker. Jermain just clearly hates to pass on any goalscoring opportunity!
Not a bad strike, eh?
