Over the years, there have been numerous examples of coaching staff going a bit too far, but not many have got involved in the action on the pitch. That’s exactly what happened in the Italian 6th division this weekend, though.
In the game between Pontassieve and Subbiano, the visitors’ coach entered the pitch to stop a counter-attack and, as you’d expect, he was immediately sent off.
The fact he acts completely innocent makes the incident even more special.
The most obvious red card in football history? Definitely.
