The ‘no-look pass’ seems to be an emerging trend in modern football, with countless outfield players doing it on a regular basis. The frankly cocky way of distributing the ball has even spread to goalkeepers now, although judging by this latest clip we might not be seeing it from a man between the sticks for quite some time.
Mainz goalkeeper Robin Zentner attempted to do just that during his side’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon, with his attempted no-look pass nearly landing him on one of those football clanger montages for years to come. Thankfully for Zentner, though, he rescued the situation and probably saved his career in the process.
“It’s behind youuuu!” ?
