During his peak years, Joe Cole was considered as one of England’s best players, particularly when it came to his technical ability. He backed up those claims on plenty of occasions, but as he’s got older and injuries have caught up with him, Cole’s career has stalled a bit.
Now on-loan at League One side Coventry City from Premier League strugglers Aston Villa, Cole hasn’t taken long to remind us all of what he can do after scoring a delicious free-kick in Coventry’s 4-3 victory over Barnsley on Tuesday evening. Nice.
