Ajax lost further ground on Eredivisie leaders PSV at the weekend after being held 1-1 at home to Utrecht. Sadly, though, what occurred in the stands has understandably dominated most of the headlines, not just in Holland, but around the world.
During the 1-1 draw, a section of Utrecht fans were heard singing pro-Nazi and anti-Semitic songs aimed at Ajax fans due to their traditionally strong Jewish community in Amsterdam. Dutch police are set to open an investigation.
The supporters chanted in their native tongue, but they appear to call for Jews to be burned and sent “to the gas chambers” in the footage below. They also chant, “my father was in the commandos, my mother was in the SS, together they burned Jews, because Jews burn the best.”
Cretins.
