Incredible footage of Bayer Leverkusen’s Emir Spahic headbutting a steward has emerged following Bayer’s 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich in the German Cup, which wasn’t enough to see his side advance to the next round of the competition.
As a ruckus erupted following the full-time whistle between Leverkusen fans and stewards, Spahic too lost his head after stewards reportedly refused to let his friends leave their box and head into the changing rooms. Spahic then launched a vicious headbutt at one of Bayern’s stewards and had to be restrained.
Police are looking into what went on but you get the feeling Spahic has landed himself in deep doo-doo.
There won’t be many bookmakers offering odds on a lengthy suspension after that little altercation.
