Being a footballer must be hard in some respects. You certainly have to develop a thick skin and try to ignore any abuse that may come your way, be it from the media or fans. Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike doesn’t seem like he’s mastered that yet, though.
After netting just four times in 22 appearances and missing a few sitters, Emenike was on the receiving end of boos and jeers from his own fans during their game versus Besiktas on the weekend. Clearly upset, Emenike pleaded with his manager to take him off but it fell on deaf ears as he was made to carry on before he was eventually substituted for Moussa Sow at half-time. Sow then went on to score a dramatic late winner. Ah.
