All due respect to former Aston Villa, Birmingham and West Brom defender Liam Ridgewell, but he’s hardly known for his rampaging runs from the half-way line or goalscoring prowess, is he? He might be now, though, after this stunning solo effort.
Now at MLS side Portland Timbers, Ridgewell went on a 50-yard rampage from the half-way line before slotting home from inside the New England Revolution box. Admittedly the defending wasn’t the best, but not many would’ve thought Ridgewell could’ve produced such a run. Nicely done Liam Ridgewell, nicely done!
