West Brom fan’s generosity enables homeless man to see his first ever Baggies game

Admirable act of kindness led to a homeless man attending his first ever match at The Hawthorns.

Whether it’s inflated transfer fees, unprofessional players or the introduction of VAR, modern football can leave a lot of fans feeling disillusioned with the game and the way it’s heading. Thankfully, a feel-good story can help restore faith in the beautiful game every now and then. This story is definitely one of them.

After winning tickets for West Brom’s game against Stoke on Monday evening, Baggies fan Snarka – who already has a season ticket at the club – decided to donate the tickets to a homeless charity instead of seeing them go to waste. As a result of his kind donation, Sean – a homeless man who adores West Brom – was able to attend his first ever match.

Unfortunately for Sean, West Brom went on to lose the match 1-0 but he didn’t seem to care. In fact, his face says it all – he clearly loved it and appreciated the act of kindness from a fellow Baggies fan.

Football can be beautiful still, can’t it?

  1. From a fellow Baggie, this is heartwarming to see. Well done, Snarka. I shall be chipping in to the just-giving page set up by Albion fans to raise enough money for a season ticket for Sean.
