Think it’s fair to say Luis Suarez hasn’t come across too well in recent years. From the various biting incidents, to the occasional theatrics during his time in England, the Uruguayan’s likability has declined somewhat. Perhaps it’s on the rise again though.
In this touching clip, a young cancer patient in Uruguay called Mateo was due to take a video call with a doctor from Spain. It wasn’t a doctor though, it was in fact Suarez who had some words of wisdom for Mateo. The Barcelona striker told him to keep fighting his illness, take his medication and remain strong. He also promised Mateo a game-worn Barcelona shirt should he keep taking his medication.
Good on you, Luis Suarez!
