Who’d be a referee, eh? This latest clip from an Argentinian lower-league game between Centro Espanol and Liniers pretty much clears that common question up after female referee Salome Di Lorio was on the end of a bullet pass. Really hard. In the face. Ah.
Poor Di Lorio wandered into the flight path of a powerfully struck cross-field pass which knocked her to the floor and left her needing hospital treatment. Thankfully, she was able to return home the same day with, undoubtedly, a bruise or two.
